Experience

Living. its just a learning process.

Have been teaching for 6 days. Tiring. Papers to mark, some paper work to be done. Having to raise voice every moment in class. Daddy says my voice has gone coarse. Hoho. phlegm too.

Good things about chs:
1. Great kids
2. Helpful Kids
3. Oh so wonderfully helpful colleagues (fellow teachers)
4. Great staff room atmosphere. Teachers are fun too man.
5. oh gosh! damn gao cheap food. damn good too. Only at chs ar.. haha.. we're so lucky.
6. Ample parking space. ahahaha...

Downsides?? i guess i don't even want to think of any.

Mr Kean has been great help. Mr Ho said yao bu cho xia wen. Okay =).
Miss Teoh too. And Miss Sharmini =).

About them students. I teach 5s5 5p2 5p3 5p6.

5p2 and 5p3. Love them. when i enter their class i can actually feel their energy. Their so keen to learn. They love shouting out answers. And i always see hands shooting up to clear doubts. They make noise when they are supposed to.. and are all ears at the right time. Really good class =) keep up the good work guys =).

5s5. Hmmm.. very smart class. But they are really tensed up!!!! I dunno why. i cannot feel their energy.. i seldom see smiles.. and are so much less responsive in my class. Maybe i need to joke more and pull more stunts. hahaha.. make them laugh =).

5p6. the most surprising class of all. Tho the last class in the form. Other teachers tell me that they were really bad.. have no interest in studying.. and have no future and were unable to handle. So on monday i entered the class for the 1st time. I talked to them.. got to know them better. And found out the talents they actually have. One made it to SEA games dancing. One loves playing musical instruments. Another cooking. Another two are Great at Lion Dance. These students are really street smart. And who says they have no interest in studies. They actually are pretty attentive in my class. I had made them realise that they should spend more time in honing their skills of interest than studying because they have so so much potential. Never useless. Thats just what out society labels them. But i believe in them. They just have to believe in themselves.

Ms Sharmini said i gave them Hope =).

This whole teaching thing has made me a better person.

And when Pn Lee introduced me to the students during assembly.. some of the kids cheered for me =) *proud*
